Google shows links to your website

Today Google has made a post to its official blog about a new addition at its Webmaster Central. It is for letting webmasters get more detailed info about their websites by showing them the links coming to their websites. They have linked to Official Google Webmaster Central Blog where they talked about extending the support for querying the links to your website.

Now you can use webmaster tools to view a much larger sample of links to pages on your site that we found on the web. Unlike the link: operator, this data is much more comprehensive and can be classified, filtered, and downloaded. All you need to do is verify site ownership to see this information.

It is very much like technorati’s feature of blogs linking to you.
