Ifttt stands for If This Then That. Recently I heard about this service and its core concept made me interested. Today I received invite for its beta launch as it is invite only right now and thought of giving it a try. It does what it says – puts the internet to work for you by creating tasks over online aggregators. You can create tasks which include triggers to perform actions through different channels (social networks) like facebook, twitter, posterous etc.
At present this service is in beta and provides quite limited functionalities (most of the triggers are specific to your actions instead of the streams in your profiles) and I am hoping that it might come up with more options with its evolution.
