This Saturday was about watching only recommended movies by friends.
Cashback – It was recommended by Vinny and was worth watching. Every moment is precious and you should fall in love with that – nice message conveyed by movie.
Forrest Gump – Recommended by Ashish Chawla long back in college days (I remember it was 7th sem and we were full on with placement preparations) and it has been more than five years but the way it was recommended so strongly that this movie was always on my mind. A movie after which I don’t have much zeal to watch any other movie – very few movies make you feel this as if you have seen the best thing. Keep doing good to others and always remember the promises.
Khuda Ke Liye – On recommendation of Hema. My problem is that I prefer to read the synopsis before going with movie and according to the director of this movie, it revolves around 9/11 incidents. But personally I just found director struggling to justify the innocent people and religion but he had no concern about the wrong doers – that’s where I was disappointed. Naseeruddin Shah was good at acting as always.
Sunday only re-watched the already seen movies.
Bombay/Bumbai – An all time good see when you have appetite for watching hard-liners.
Yaadein – An all time good movie which I like to watch provided a forward feature is provided in remote/player because at couple of places, you want to just jump forward. Subhash Ghai has made movies like this as well if he has failed badly for movies like Yuvvraaj at the other end.
Entrapment – Thanks to Hema for recommending this movie and it is really great to see veteran like Sean Connery pairing up with beautiful Zeta-Jones though quite out of our generation’s time frame! Catherine looks fabulous in this movie. Other actresses whom I like in Hollywood and the ones who share same space of beauty are Julia Robert, Penelope Cruz and Jennifer Lopez. Yes, quite a few know that.
