Attachment size doubled in Gmail

Gmail (Google Mail) has doubled the maximum attachment size for the emails to 20 MB. Previously it was 10 MB.

But that is possible only if you are sending your mail to other Gmail contact because in case of other email service providers, you never know if they will be accepting such large email messages. There is always size limit imposed by Email services on emails going out or coming in from other email addresses. Ultimately, Google is removing the limits over email and truly making Gmail – an infinity+1 storage service. I would also had loved it more if it also added functionality to add attachment at runtime i.e. while typing, Gmail uploaded the attachment which is now done only while sending the email.

Although it hasn’t been updated under What’s new section of Gmail but it is added in Attachment section of Gmail Help.
