Hindi is the most popular language of India (if not the National Language). If you feel more comfortable to browse web with Hindi than any other language, there is a product from CDAC. The name of browser is Pragati which includes features like in-built inline English-Hindi dictionary, TouchScreen support to boot and on-screen Hindi English keyboard.
This browser is based on Firefox browser. It is an open source project.
The browser is available in Windows (exe) as well as Linux (tar) distributions.
And if you are interested in downloading English-Hindi dictionary, you can download that separately by going to another project from BharateeyaOO.o: OpenOffice.org in Indian Languages (Bharateeya(Indian) + OO.o(OpenOffice.org)) – English-Hindi Thesaurus.
Interesting product and name but one wonders whether India really progresses at all.
Of course, Hiren. It is already in that direction. just browse through the CDAC websites, if you want proof.
And if you are reading my blog regularly, next version of Firefox is going to support more Indian languages!
