After some delay, Gmail is made open for sign up in India. You can see a screen-shot below –
Presently Gmail is in beta stage which means you can’t trust Google for keeping your emails safe but then, it is Google :). It provides 2.8+ GB of space for storing emails and by April 2007, it is expected to touch the mark of 3 GB.
Also the Google Talk messenger is integrated within the Gmail, therefore, you can remain in touch with your touch on the go, in web-browser itself. Give it a try and you will never feel like leaving it ;M).
