Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna

I had thought of spending no money on this movie and so I did. I never mind if someone get me to watch a movie which I can tolerate at least and for me, even flops from Karan Johar’s movies are tolerable. So yesterday Pankaj got me to watch this movie and after watching this movie, I uttered only one sentence –

WHAT THE CRAP

(WTC as it sounds better and an elegant than WTF <> What The F***)

Ok, if it had been me – a lost buy, I had never been writing anything about this movie but sometime in my life, someone very special asked me to take note of at least something from whatever I pass by…and she was my mother.

So I try to get out something from each movie I watch, even if it Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna (KANK). This movie is about showing that only like minded people can survive with each other and people with opposite mentality/features get separated now or later. I think Karan Johar never read Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus or what can I say when he directs a movie purely on the pairing of matching people??? I hated the character of Dev…moreover it appeared very much artificial – he is not a party lover at all and keeps grumbling bad about everything now and then as he doesn’t like the world at all…although I have seen such people in real life but either they don’t get right conditions or they are like that from birth. Here I am quoting a very familiar sentence – “Bye, Tata, Syonara, Alvida, Fir Milenge aur Milte Rahenge because this world is a very small place” and the tag lines of movie resembled it very much. At some places, Priety appeared to me very much looking like Drew Barrymore.

One thing that I liked was that do what is most unexpected from you or you think is very unlikely as Dev goes to watch football match with Maya even when he was almost sure that he wouldn’t get the tickets but finally, he got them – such moments contribute to the happiest moments of your life.

Then there are some-things better told…in style than never told.

Mohabbat aur maut, dono bin bulaye mehmaan hote hain. Vo kisi ka saath nahi chhodte. (Both Love and Death are uninvited guests in life. They don’t leave anyone.)

Kehte hain ki shaadi ki buniyaad sirf beinteha mohabbat honi chahiye aur kuchh bhi nahi. Kyonki agar buniyaad galat ho to rishtey toot jate hain…(It is said that the foundation of marriage should be unlimited love and nothing else. Because if foundation will be weak, relations break down.)

Phir milne ki umeed ko itni khamoshi se marte pehli baar dekha. (Witnessed that quiet demise of hope of meeting again for first time)

Cheap is good. I like cheap. (so true)…and I got remembered of Cheapsterz.

Sometimes, you commit unforgivable mistakes. Accept the punishments given to you for them as and when they are given but never forget to ask sorry for them. And more importantly, learn from them.

Puneet was asking me in morning…just look at the leisurely life of Sam/Samarjit in the movie and then tell me, who is he to ask Maya for getting into a relation?

According to me, Singles rock till they get into relations.

Here are the lyrics of another good song of movie –

jaaniye heeriye
jaaniye heeriye
mere mann ye bata de tu
kis or chala hai tu
kya paya nahi tune
kya dhundh raha hai tu
jo hai ankahee jo hai ansuni
woh baat kya hai bata
mitwa kahe dhadkan hai tujhse kya
mitwa yeh khudse toh na tu chhupa

mere mann ye bata de tu
kis or chala hai tu
kya paya nahi tune
kya dhundh raha hai tu
jo hai ankahee jo hai ansuni
woh baat kya hai bata
mitwa kahe dhadkan hain tujhse kya
mitwa yeh khudse toh na tu chhupa

jeevan dagar mein prem nagar mein – 2
aaya nazar mein jab se koi hai
tu sochta hain tu puchata hai
jiski kami thi kya yeh wohi hai
haa yeh wohi hai – 2
tu ek pyasa aur yeh nadi hai
kaahe nahi isko tu khulke bataye
jo hai ankahee jo hai ansuni
woh baat kya hai bata
mitwa kahe dhadkan hai tujhse kya
mitwa yeh khudse toh na tu chhupa

teri nigaahein pa gayi raahein
par tu yeh soche jaaun na jaaun
yeh zindagi jo hai naachti toh
kyon bediyon mein hai tere paaon (paanv)
preet ki dhun par naach le paagal
udta agar hai udne de aanchal
kaahe koi apne ko aaise tarsaaye
jo hai ankahee jo hai ansuni
woh baat kya hai bata
mitwa kahe dhadkan hai tujhse kya
mitwa yeh khudse toh na tu chhupa
mere mann ye bata de tu
kis or chala hai tu
kya paya nahi tune
kya dhundh raha hai tu
mitwa…
