Yep finally, we have our FIFA World Cup champion. After 24 year long wait to kiss the trophy, Italy has made it. Italy defeated France by 5-3 in the final.
Last night, the winner was decided thru’ Penalties after Zidane converted penalty into goal for FRA in 6th minute and it was leveled by Italia’s Materazzi in 19th minute. And after that, there was no goal for next 81 minutes.
It was very much expected that if game went to Penalty shoot out, Italy has upper hand over France and it happened. Here are the official stats –
