Today, I felt the changing face of Indian banks when I wanted to transfer money to an account in a bank. I was given 17 digit account number but actually the account number sud be of 16 digits.

All I had to tell the name of account holder and problem was solved. Last 0 in account number was additional.

The person name was searched and his acc. no. was matched with the one that I had given. Thats it.

These are the banks where just 3 years ago, you had to stanpnbd in long queues in order to transfer money or process cheques. And now, all you have to do is dial a number at the comfort of your home and transactions are matter of minutes.

Internet and Phone Banking has changed the banking compltely and I am loving it 😛
