I was watching Star Gold channel on other day and I came across the numbers being shown about Shahrukh and Aamir – the undoubted top 2 of Indian Cinema.
Well, Aamir Khan’s movie revenues were shown as Rs. 90 crore for year 2004-2005 when his only movie – Mangal Pande – The Rising was released (after a long interval since Dil Chahta Hai(2001))!
And for Sharukh, movie revenues were shown as Rs. 111 crore for year 2004-2005. Total 8 movies starring him were release in this interval.
After considering these two figures undoubtly Aamir seems to be much more efficient than Shahrukh in terms of performance and efficince who has average of Rs. 90 crore per movie whereas Shahrukh having average of Rs. 13.875 crore per movie but if the other side – the personal revenues taken into account, Shahrukh is far better than Aamir and thats why he is what he is called!
Next movies of Aamir are Fanaa and The Mahabharat whereas of Shahrukh are Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Don, Happy New Year, Baiju Aur Tansen & The Mahabharat.
